Home is where the heart is. For sure, this design combines traditional and modern materials, such as stone reclamation and traditional details, with contemporary elements such as high quality glazing with fibre cement roof tiling and modern external terraces construction. This adds a definable modern edge to this former fisherman’s period residence, which sits comfortably with its neighbours and beautiful coastal surroundings.

Internally, the objective was to create a more open plan home for family living. The extensive glazing and external terraces and gardens enables the spaces to be flooded with natural light, while, at the same time, ensuring a connection to nature and village context. The former house is reformed to create much improved modern living spaces inside and out.
